This fee increase only applies to U.S. passport applicants using the DS-11 form, such as first-time applicants over 16, children under 16 and applicants who re-apply after reporting their previous passport lost or stolen.  The $10 execution fee increase does not apply to adults eligible to renew their passports by mail using the DS-82 form. Renewal customers can mail their application and supporting documentation directly to the U.S. Department of State.

The Hernando County Clerk of Court & Comptroller has two locations that can process a new passport application.  Passport applications are accepted at the Spring Hill Customer Service Center, located in the Westside Government Center, 4705 Forest Oaks Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL 34608, or at the Hernando County Government Center, 20 N. Main Street, Room 161, Brooksville, FL 34601.

When applying, two separate forms of payment are required, one for the Clerk’s Office and one for the Department of State. The Clerk’s Office can also take your photo for a $10 fee.
